Three persons held with illicit liquor in Doda | KNO

Thathri, Apr 21 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday arrested three persons and recovered 101 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession in Thathri area of Doda district. A police official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that three persons identified as Nek Singh, son of Gain Singh of Thathri was held with 16 bottles of 750ml each, Surjeet Singh, son of Ved Parkash of Jatheli Mohalla was held with 40 bottles of 250 ml each and Sunil Kumar, son of Rattan Lal of Jatheli Mohalla was held with 45 bottles of 250 ml each. Meanwhile, Station House Officer (SHO) Thathri Javid Iqbal said, “Three persons were held when they were illegally transporting illicit liquor.” He said three separate cases have been registered under FIR numbers 39/2021, 40/2021 and 41/2021 under section 48(a) excise act—(KNO)
